What up y'all?
I got a little technical question. When you do a valdez, how do you get your legs to go directly over you instead of on the side. I'm still doing this side cartwheel and got problems getting the legs directly over me. Help me out, thankz.

I don't know how to really explain it but when you jump, if you can feel your shoulders kinda moving outta position for a split second, then you're doing it right. It's ust about jumping high enough. Just force yourself backwards. It's not that scary anyway cause you have a hand planted on the ground.
Yeah guys, I can get my legs almost over me, but every not and then they fall to the right side. Do you want to push off with your right leg harder then?
My left leg is over me, but my right one is the one that falls to the right side. What if I kick harder with my right leg, won't that make me go more directly over than to the side?
You only land to the right side cause you're afraid even when you say you're not. Just jump higher or kick higher directly over. There's nothing more to it. Just practise and eventually you'll get it but don't spend too much time practising this. It's nothing that's really amazing.
I know it's not amazing, I don't even like this stupid move. I'm just doin' it 'cause my girl likes it. I'll probably never use it in any of my combos 'cause I just don't like it.
i use valdez varitiations all the time
if u think it aint a clever move, it is!
i go into to many moves, even 90s, from it
dont ask how, i just can
but yeah
use YOUR HIPS not throw your weight on ur arm, u aint gonna go nowhere but down

I was working on this shit for an hour yesterday. I AM afraid to spring back for 2 reasons: I don't want to fall on my back if I don't do it enough, and second I don't want my left arm to pop out of my shoulder if I do it wrong. I noticed that's it's basically nothing else than a flip backwards except you have both hands on a ground. I gotta question though, after you plant your right hand behind you, do you plant your right hand first to the side like a cartwheel and jump backwards in the same time or do you spring back and then plant your arm? Do any of you guys are ever afraid of poping your left shoulder out of place if you do it wrong?
What up y'all. I know that I posted this thread first asking for help, and some people gave me tips, and some agreed on the same stuff that I had problems with. We'll guess what guys, I just got that stupid flip. Yup, not a big deal, but yes I can do valdez, just got a hang of it last night. So if there is anyone that has problems with that flip, let me know and I'll tell you everything I know about it that might be helpful, I could put up a guide too if you want me to. Just let me know if you want my help.
Peace out
