Bein' a good breaker's not all about bein' able to do moves. A lot of it's about how well you can blend those moves together. To be honest, it sounded like you were pullin' for shit when u wrote that list, since personally, I wouldn't brag about toprockin' or uprockin'. Despite the fact that I can do both, I wouldn't brag about it for the simple reason that they aren't really 'moves' and are more of a filler that you throw in between 'em.

So anyway, it's all depending on 1) how well you can do these moves. I know if someguy does a sick turtle to windmill combo, it's a lot better than a turtle to windmill to headspin combo that's sloppier, and crappily done. Also depending on 2) how well you can transition from one move to the other, 3) your originality in performing these moves, and 4) how you handle yourself while performing. Personally, I can always tell a nervous popper/breaker while he's out gettin' down, and it always makes me wonder why. If they were as good as the other performers, then they wouldn't need to be worried. So I find that a confident breaker who's slightly worse than a nervous breaker is still a better breaker, usually.

Peace out.

Word! I hate it when people measure you by the power you can do. It just pisses me off. The guy these guys call a newbie, may have better style than all of us. Here's an example. Look at Benji, he doesn't do any power, but still he's good.

i think Benji knows alot of power moves.. he probably can do flares and shit but he doesnt use them because that aint his style....

i think people measure you by power is because if you kno alot of power moves then you can be more creative with your style....

in other words if you can do UFOs, flares, etc. then we expect you to have unique freezes and footwork to back it up... thats how powerheads probably exists...

Yeah, but I hate to say man, I know of at least 3 people that can do power moves that break worse than I do......and I don't even consider myself half-decent breaker!

I agree, you see a guy doin' mills, or a headspin, and you stereo-type, and assume he'll be better than the guy doin' 6-steps most of the time, and most of the time, you'll probably be right in thinking so, but then there's those pathetic times that you see a guy do headspins, return to his feet, lie down, and then go into mills (And the guy DOESN'T do it on purpose, but rather because that's the only way he can...). I find that just sad, particularly because it puts down the breakers that don't use powermoves, and still keep the spectators on their toes.

Peace.

I agree with Mowicz. It's so messed when people don't know anything about breaking and expect someone doing a windmill is better than one who's doing mad style.
