Beginner Wanting to know... -
03-04-2008, 09:37 PM
... if I'm headed in the right direction. I "started" popping back in high school, but never really stuck to it for longer than a week or two. I now want to seriously get at least decent at it, so I'm asking for advice and to see if I'm headed in the right direction.

You look like you're forcing your hits too much. Watch InventFMC guide on how to hit on youtube.
I don't think you're completing your arm wave motion. I think the poppers will be going all "isolation"! |

Oh okay. I watched it, but it takes someone with experience to notice, I suppose.
What do you mean by completing my arm wave motion? |

you should get this thread moved to the Video Clips section..
hopefully Chippa or Invent will notice.. Friendly piece of advice tho.. try posting up a vid of you actually dancing to music (rather than just doing moves) as it'll allow others to more clearly see what you need to improve on.. remember, popping is a dance and not just doing movements (credit to Danis Kool for the quote).. |

Yeah, I couldn't get anything because all I had was an iPod and no stereo for music.
I work with what I have, hopefully, when I get my friends together this weekend, I'll actually have some music. |

ok i get the point of no music, but hmm man its hard 2 noticed when theres no music, or actual dancing involved , the majority of your video you were standing there, and saying this is what i think or this what i feel. quote me if im wrong cause i couldn't really hear it that well.
