07-26-2005, 10:05 AM
1) What is that first (opening) move on this pic called (yeah, I can see it is a glide.)? How do u do it?
http://www.bboy.org/forums/avatar.ph...ine=1116177321
2) Plus, I need some tips on makin' magazines (boxes)..
3) And... How do u do this?:
http://hem.spray.se/sammorling/slicksideslide.html
4) I need some clips/tutorials on Boogaloo moves... As many as possible... I dont have the creativity to compose my own boogaloo moves 'cuz I haven't seen enough boogaloo...
The only ones I know is a few I learned from Popin' Pete durin' a Workshop...

Well, for the first one, learn glides, and then just keep your feet parallel, its pretty easy...
For boxes (which are different than magazine tuts), just make boxes....Theres no way for us to describe how to tut, unless someone makes a basic vid or you can have someone show you in person.

You're pissing me off... Even thou' I am new to this board, I'm not new to dancin'... Let me tell ya about which level I'm on:
Poppin' is easy. I can easily choreograph poppin' sequences.
I kno' some basic glides... The basic sideslide and moonwalk is easy, and I have my own variation of the wiggle walk.

Videos, that's excactly what I want... I kno' how to tut, but I need to see some boxes and magazine tuttin' sequences in order to be able to make my own..
The only MOVES I wanted tutorials on was the 'Slick Side Slide' and that move Popin' Rice did... Boxes, magazines and boogaloo are styles I want to see full sequences from, preferably slow mo versions...

Ooo, "I can easily choreograph poppin' sequences."
Am I supposed to be impressed? With that attitude, your lucky peopel even posted to try and help. I know some places that you can get vids, but the way you carry yourself is really not motivatin' me here. Guess you'll just have to wait for someone else.

To me...what Rice was doing was just walking...didn't look like a glide to me. His hands were just like a balarina and he was like waddling. And skipping number 2 cause I don't know anything about tutting, going to number 3, that is some unique gliding shit. And it looks pretty hard already. And gliding sideways to me is hella hard, going in a circle is easier. For number 4, I heard boogaloo is hard, because it takes creativity and a lot of experience in popping. So yea...just trying to help you out...

wow, what the hell, just go away
you asked a question, expect an answer. nobody here is gonna hold your damn hand through it, you gotta learn some things by practice. what the hell did you expect?
a little tip of advice before you go running off your mouth again here. it comes in the form of a modern "teenage saying" as you might call it...
you act like a bitch, you get treated like a bitch.
instead of saying your getting pissed off, try rephrasing the question, and if that doesnt work, just practice the damn thing yourself. were here for info, not to walk you through it by the hand.
and for your damn answers
1) its rice's
2) shift your wrists and fingers into 90's until you get it
3) variate the sideslide
4) soulseek...
now go away

This is my last post here in this thread... Fact is, you're talking about answers.. I didn't get any answers. I got other facts like who the dancer was and what a newbie should do (learn glides)... I didn't ask who the dancer was or what a newbie should do when he's goin' to learn slides... My question was about two specific moves, not about the whole style..
AND... Regardin' Boogaloo and Magazines, yes, there I asked for that kind of 'answers'...
