Poppin' for Dummies!: Dimestoppin'! Guide by Poppin' Rice - 06-08-2005, 09:32 PM

Poppin' for Dummies!: Dimestoppin'! by Poppin' Rice

This is my first guide, so please bare with me.

Why should I learn dimestopping?

Well, its a very easy technique to learn, and most of robotting (or botting) has dimestops in them, not only that, you can base your own poppin' style with dimestopping, and then you can add things later to it!

What is dimestopping?

Sudden stops on every count, usually on the (clap) of the music.

Thats all?

Ya, or you can do variations of them, like hit-->move-->stop....hit-->move-->stop.... thats how i do them, just watch the video.

Any tips?

+ relax your wrists to give off a hard stop or hit effect, but do not have too much of it, or else it will ruin your illusion.
+ think of new and creative airposes!
+ work on your angles! make sure you look good at dimestopping, in all degrees!

ENJOY DIMESTOPPING!

Dawg... please make the differentiation... dimestopping is a TECHNIQUE not a style. Just as HITTING is a TECHNIQUE, and scarecrow, toyman, puppet and spiderman are FLAVORS not styles.

I dunno, its a good Guide, but the video was a little off. You wrist swayed a little too much. It really didn't create the illusion. May I suggest having them more stiff. Your hits seemed weak for some reason too, and I know that from previous videos I've seen way better hitting from you. Maybe its just the video.. but yea. Dope work overall.
