The concept of strobing (u proli already know that)
is
STOP => Go => STOP => GO => STOP => GO

Act out everyday movements (like miming)
Can be big movements n small movements

AND HEAPS OF PRACTICE

A few definition that i use to describe dance in general

Dance: Movements done to portray the music.
Dance styles: Specific movements done to portray the music.

Strutting is not the same thing as strobing. DocLock gave an explanation of the style on the Nustudios forum:

Struttin is really more the walk and positioning of your body as you do it. Just like the old term "strut yo stuff!!" You would step out in time, then stop, shift it over, stop, turn it again.

All the while, your arms are pointing one direction or the other or crossed over each other while your hands were open palmed (hope that makes sense) - which is considered FILMORE.

Here is a clip of himself showing how to Filmore:

I don't know if the link still works (I can't download anything at school), but there's some good strobing at the end of the clip.
