(Updated) Guide: Chest Hits + Heart Beat Move - 09-25-2003, 07:43 AM

there's been quite a number of posts regarding chest pops lately, so i decided to make a short explanation video of how i do my chest pops.

of course, my chest pops aren't really good, they cannot match Blinkey's chest pops, but i just thought of putting up this video so that people wont keep asking "how do i do chest pops".

hope you guys find this useful.

update on 17-11-2004:

I updated this guide because spacecapital taught the difference between chest pops and the heart beat. this guide now teaches the difference between the two and how to do them.

this is the best quality i could encode the file into, due to the filesize constraint. thanks!

update on 31-07-2005:

due to the corruption of the previous file, i'm gonna try to re-upload the file on to the bboy.org servers. to everyone else out there who's been trying to get the file, sorry and thanks for waiting...

[b]update on 20-05-2006:

i've upped the file again on zshare.net so those of you who want to download it, get it at http://www.zshare.net/video/17-11-20...-beat-wmv.html . once again, sorry it took so long, i had to dig the file up from my archives.

Mowicz: the first hits i ever did in my life were all from the shoulders... you could say, i never knew of any other parts of my body to hit except for the shoulders...
which kinda stuck with me for pretty long.

i've heard and read that pops from the shoulders are wrong... so i dont know.

Nice video clip, it's nice seeing you take the time to teach someone interested in Chest Pops. You Chest Pops are nice, keep up the good work.

Popping Smurf,

I liked that post you posted regarding people being more original.
It should be more about being self, that was how it was in the '70s and '80s when I were more into Popping. Don't feel bad, just keep on doing your thing. See, it's about bringing out who you are, that is what is more important.

BboyNdN: the song is Early In The Morning by The Gap Band

Elasstick: i dont know about that, but personally i like to use chest pops to "accentuate" a certain sound or a beat in a song. it's been about a year since i made this video, so personally my chest pops have become much faster in expanding and contracting so to me it's a hit on it's own. but that's my style.

D.J. Scrit: hey that's a pretty good start man... practise more, and you'll find yourself being able to push your chest out even further and quicker. keep it up!
