You fool, you should learn a little background and history as well because poplocking is what its called depending on where you're from. Your the one rambling like an idiot at the moment.

In anycase, welcome to bboy.org. Popping and locking is considered as funkstyles so please refer to the funkstyle forum ^^ Also, poplocking refers to being able to know both Popping and Locking. People who doesn't know how to lock but can pop is are called Poppers ( hence Poppin Tofu ) Good luck man and if you need any help just ask. Don't take anyones negative commenst around here too seriously.

jo poppin tofu , theres no such thing as poppin nd locking in one sentence. people who have no knowledge of it use this becuz some moves of poppin looks like locking so there u go it is poppin nd lockin. u should know this as a popper. so who is the rambling idiot here.....


ok nick like theres said there is a funkstyles section. But remember poppin is something different than locking like there are more styles in funk . f.e. boogaloo ,ticking, waving etc.
poppin is called so because u move ur body with small pops like a small explotion. people often combine poppin wit boogaloo. wach poppin vids and boogaloo vids and ul understand. locking is called this way becuz of the "lock" wich is a move in locking. u will have to learn the locking moves to understand this there are somewhat 35 moves or something in locking. go check m all out.gl

Although there are many different styles of popping, it is very easy to distinguish that from Locking.

popping doesnt look anything like locking, man! popping and locking are different dances, and are generally used separately. BUT some regions do use the term poplocking.

i'm a bboy, but this is general knowledge. tofu knows what's up haha.

On the locking vid, when it gets to 30 seconds, after the cam zooms in. Can someone break down in words, or know of a vid that shows how to do the steps for the footwork?
I know the basics of what their doing, cus i've seen it before n generally like it. But that vids quality aint that good so its too blurry on the legs to follow easily.
