Yeah, I don't understand what you're saying at all and it doesn't sound like you understand what you're saying either.

Does he mean waving (i.e. gesturing) towards the audience or camera?

maybe people are telling you what to do too much.. I think that if you are enjoying and beeing happy when you dance, your funkyness will come. you are good, the only thing missing is a smile.

Hey man how's it going?

I'm gonna jump in way after everybody else its been almost half a year since u posted this clip. I've not been out here for a looooong time... just gotta say, u got the moves down, but u are plaing it safe when u get down. U gotta try getting in some new positions. Not too crazy just do stuff u havent done before. Do you scoobots the other way, do your skooby doos with a turn or a extra hip or arm what ever.

When u start to experiment, (but still full out, no 50/50 dancing/trying stuff out) you will do stuff by mistake, from a feel, from a sound in the song u havent heard or noticed before and thats when you're starting to freestyle for real.

Then i gotta tell you, i think that the 'bounce' IS importante, not only do you have to have the up, up bounce (hit your shoulders or your head on the hihat) but the rocksteady goning too (up&down on the kick&snare).

The groove u get from these two MAKES the MOVES into DANCE! You don't have to have all the time BUT it's the foundation, the core and that is why people who do it look funky even when they just pacing...

Sum people do this big realy showin it, and some keep it more hidden, but it's there i tell you! I always try to hold the eat with my heals even when i stand still, keep my shoulders bouncing and my neck loose, the cheast grooving and my hip bouncing.. HAHA sound F€#"%D but it's just the vibe u gotta have, don't over do it just let it be there to help you get the moves out.

Peace and keep it funky
/Manny

Hey man thanks for such a long post, I can tell it took you a long time to type.

Anyways I just gotta say you're absolutely right.. I've been staying in my comfort zone too long, always doing the same things cause I'm afraid to make a mistake.

I'm still not too sure about this groove thing. But I'll keep working at it man!

Thanks for the advice man.

Theres no mistakes when you dance solo, you can only do stuff in a way that YOU didnt mean, and if you think its bad people will see it, if you just adapt and flow with it no one is going to notice, it's just dance not brain surgery no one's gonna die just because you did your pace sloppy, hit the next one stronger and make a thing of it.

But keep the groove!

Peace
