this thread is good stuff and i agree with creativity being key i mean having a dope set in your arsenal is great but style can be just as good yall meaning style is creativity so yeah think about those and breathing is something everyone works on so make sure yall work on that because you don't want to come out of/in your set looking like you just been in a breathe holding contest so yeah good luck to all (yell-o) and read this thread

And remember that these guidelines don't just go for kobo or online battles, but battles in real life too.

wooord this is extremely true. I never really wrote it down or had it written down for me to look at so when i go to a battle ijust throw down as well as i can... but i think mental preparation is JUST as important as physical prep for a battle.. and it's a good idea to look over what your freestyles should look like in terms of showing what you can do before you go down

Yeah, and if your opponent doesn't listen to the music, do that little hand gesture to them where you point at your ear and try to taunt them about them not doing it... LOL.

putting emotion in my moves help me be creative i like to use humer and maybe anger like pounding the the ground on beat beat while in a elbow freeze or pretending im breaking my neck then falling in to a move.

and also being original and new putting my own flava in to my moves. thats how you express your self and make your own style.
we cant just keep everything old school we must keep evolving to keep to bboying alive.

KRS one: hip means to know its a form of intelligence to be hip is to be up to date and relavent. hop is a form of movment you cant just observe a hop you gotta hop up and do it hip and hop is more then music hip is the knowledge hop is the movement hip and hop is intelligent movment.
