Where to get inexpensive dumbbells? -
03-09-2005, 09:23 PM
i want to buy some dumbbells for home for stuff like bench, military press, curls, extensions, i.e. basic upper body stuff for chest/triceps/biceps/shoulders (bars and plates too expensive and takes up too much room which we dont have)
just wanted to know where can i buy inexpensive dumbbells.....and one other thing. 1)whats the difference in those like plastic (idk what material but u know what i mean) dumbbells and the metal ones? i mean, if they are the same weights, doesnt it give same workout or just go with metal? (wanted something softer for inside house) thx, and by the way 2) do u guys usually find dumbbells heavier/harder strain wise than bars? because im thinking of buying a pair of 35 lbs or 40 lbs idk which thx again Oh yea sry....couple of other weightlifting questions 3) do u wanna work till the muscle u are working feels sore and heavy to get max strength results or what? 4) i know they help if u are trying to "bulk" which im not, i just wanna be stronger, are supplements really needed? anyways, 5) where do u guys buy dumbbells/weights from? 6) how do u guys like "improvise" in absence of benches? (for stuff like decline chest exercises) from on site, im in between http://www.dickssportinggoods.com/p...rentPage=family and http://www.dickssportinggoods.com/p...rentPage=family |

I had flared out on u for posting stuff about handstands in this forum and in the flips forum, then u posted an L-Kick question in the handstand forum, now you post a dumbell question in this forum.
