man i tried some today on a mat at another school

at first i kept landing on my lower back/hips and they got sore

so then i made a conscious push with my arms and i was close!!(closest ive ever been)


i think i have to remember to get my abs involved in a sit up motion to bring my upper body up too, besides the push

been watching kip up vids

u push after the kick right about when they gonna land

btw, whats easier/has more power- straight chambered leg kick, or bent chambered leg kick?

1. roll back onto neck/shoulders/ and chamber legs in
2. as coming back kick straight up
3. push with arms and try do sit up

anything important out?

ok, ive been practicing

everytime i keep landing on my shoulders, feet landed, and back off the ground

i thinks its cause i cant seem to stand up from a back bridge type position that the kip up goes to

fuck!

Really i dont like to repeat myself but you dont need to stand up from a bridge to do a kip up.

because i feel myself coming up and then i land on my shoulder again

just watch the vid. or sort through it to the kip up parts

whats wrong with their kips? its not me, lol

oh shit i think maybe im on to something! u push away from the ground, forcing ur upper body to go forward towards the end of the kick!

i think ive been pushing straight up

u gotta kick at 1st and whip ur extended legs down and in/ round

EDIT: im landing right with my feet, like im on my toes, but i cant seem to get my upper body up, fucked up timing?

EDIT: fuck lost it, i landed a couple crouched and stumbled backwards, but now i lost em

shit!

idk wtf i was doin but now i cant seem to get em, im almost there, at least im getting up more

EDIT2: probably need to push more, but i havent done a full one yet, im landin crouched but this time my upper body is higher up but not high enough yet

EDIT3: is rollin back like 1/2 way and then kickin up still a kip up (or am i cheating)? ive been doin that, because when i actually kick up as hard as i can and fully extend i cant get my upper body as high as before

well im stumbling backwards but no ive just lost it, i cant land one anymore

and the ones i did sucked so bad, idk if i even landed em, cause i didnt fully extend my legs, fully roll back or push

its hard for me to time and multitask with so many things goin so fast

EDIT: i need to use my arms! i think when i landed it, it was more neck cause it is sore now

fuck!!! i almost had it
