I might be new to the site, but a kip up is the first thing i learned.
Handed-
1. Something people forget often is that they dont roll back very far . you shuold try to touch your knees to your chest and try to get all of your back but your shuolders off the ground (just for technique)
2. when you actually kick, try to kick straight up, the snapping motion of your legs will make them bent automatically so you dont need to kick out at the 45 or something like that.
3. DO NOT LOCK YOUR LEGS OUT, SNAP THEM AND THEY WILL AUTOMATICALLY HEAD TOWARDS THE GROUND
4. the sequence of a kip up is kick, hands and abs at the same time.
5. roll back. kick high and hard. snap your legs while pushing with your hands. TRY TO KEEP YOUR GAZE ON YOUR KNEES AND DO A situp.
Problems?
1. I always end on my knees! A: You arent pushing straight up, you are kicking at the 45 or something, which will catapult your body forward and make it harder to land.
2. I can't get it down, i always hurt myself! A: Try learning on a bed, thats where i got mine down. (trampoline works fine i hear)
No Handed:
I can do this about 8 of tens time o try it.
1. Do everything the same as in a normal kip up, but instead of pushing with your hands, after you kick, push with you necks and propel your arms forward at your legs.
2. this kip up requires MUCH MORE AB STRENGTH so get those sit ups down before attempting this.
3. TRY NOT TO LAND ON YOUR NECK, IM NOT JOKING, IT CAN BREAK YOUR NECK.
4. from what i hear by pushing on your kneees, you will be able to get it down.
These are my own opinions and i am well aware there are others and definetley better ways to teach this, but this is one of the easiest ways i can explain it.
Peaceout
