Arm under body on kip up? - 04-28-2004, 05:25 AM

Im learnin kip ups and can get my back off the floor ok but when my feet touch the deck, I fall backwards.Any tips? I can land on feet with arm propping me up.

Man I got EXACTlY the same problem and I dunno what to do. All I really been told to do is push harder with my arms but I aint really improved too much. Oh well I guess practice is all it takes.

When i try and do it, my back lifts off the floor, but not very high, like an inch or so and i fall back onto my back. Maybe Im not kicking hard enough?

This is for both of you that have problems. It happened to me to you need to kick harder, push with your arms harder and rll back farther so your legs are over your head don't go back to far otherwise you lose the momentum. Peace

Going down the gym helps aswell, by building up back and leg muscles.

control ur body in a wave-like motion. just kick harder and bring your body forward faster and land on your feet
