Well, from what i am seeing, you are kickn' your legs too vertically, and too softly. I don't think you're ready yet to do that. Later in the future, ya may kick 'em that way, higher and higher, but ir requires confidence and technique. In your video, you land with your hand on the ground, cau'se of that, you're lifting your legs way up, not kickn' it hard enough, and as higher as your trow them, the longer it'll take your feet to land, and it'll require you to rotate your torso to the front quickly, so you'll gain balance, thus not being forced to put your hand on the ground when ya land.
Right now i'd recommend ya to kick your legs harder and quicker, a bit lower, makin' it diagonal. When you master the diagonal kip-up with self-confidence, maybe you can try trowing your legs a bit higher.
Remember, to kip up correctly, ya gotta have self-confidence. Don't fear your back. It'll only get a little bruised if so...
Now, as i've said before, somewhere, the best place to train kip ups it's on the beach. The sand is nice, and believe me, once you master it there, you'll "fly" on flat hard floor. Never do it on a bed, 'cause it'll do the hard wok for ya, that's not good.
My experience allows me to tell ya beginners should train like Garcia teaches on his video. It'll be a hell of a lot EASIER if ya put your hands like he does in this picture, just try it. Cheers!
