Looking at ur video, i can now see y ur knees hurt while landing. First of all, as urself: how on earth can breakers do no-handed kip-ups? Tough question, isnt it? They use their legs 2 get the 100% of their accelerational momentum. Now, coming back 2 ur kip-ups... U r not using ur legs at all. Ur just lifting them up and flopping em on the ground. U r mean 2 kick ur legs DAMN HARD. I specified this fact in my guide many times. Its all in ur legs, son. My full use of them and kick them as hard as u can! If u look at my kip-ups video (in my guide), u will see that when i am doing a kip-up, while in airborne, my legs r nearly straight. My momentum makes them straight. So, use ur legs for the momentum. Good luck. Peace

Yeah playa4real is right.

You should curl up more. In your clips you look like the first throwing your legs to the front. Don't throw 'em, kick them 45 degrees.. At the beginning the arms is used to help lift the upper body to the beginners but later on you won't need em when you do kip-ups without hands since the legs does 95 of the momentum and lifting.

You must have been a bgirl, cuz the only movez you pulled on me was heartbreakers

^ sorry, the thread forgot to care.

the best way to get good at kip-ups i find is to try variations. no handed, kipping up from a headstand position... makes for a better understanding and you have to improve your technique to nail them.
