Kick-Ups
The Kick-Up is a move done by many break dancers, and i mainly use it at the end of my combos or even when i make a mistake and collapse on the floor, i try to cover it up by doing the Kick-Up.
This move looks like a "Chinese Getup" were somebody lies on his back and pushes with his shoulders and hands, while feet are in the air, then lands stood-up on his feet.
once you master theKick-Up it will look great and is very helpful.
I knew how to do the Kick-Up move since i was 8-years old (i am now 15yrs)... that was before i ever knew the word Kick-Ups or Breakdancing.
Since i have had enough time to master the Kick-Ups i would like to explain, for the very first time how i do my Kick-Up move in the best possible way - hope you understand this, try to picture it all in your mind as you read this guide...here it goes:
Step 1
Sit down on your bottom with your legs bent but feet touching the floor infront of you.
Step 2
Push yourself backwards so that you now lay on your top half of your back and abit of your shoulders, but the same time lift your legs up (STELL BENT), and your arms also bent behind your shoulders while your fingers facing away from your shoulder (thats how i do it, but it depends how confortable you feel, either way pointing to or away your shoulders).
Step 3
Now push your bent arms as hard as you can so that you are able to lift your upper body. also it is important to kick your bent legs to help you lift yourself faster, and use less of your strength by deviding it with your arms and legs.
Step 4
While you kick your legs, they are aiming up then back down to land on your feet.
END
Thats my first guide, so sorry if it is pretty hard to understand... but any questions and/or problems needing answered about Kick-Up moves then please reply to this post and i will try my best to answer it in the best possible way, and in more detail.
Tips:
1. Never Give Up.
2. Try doing it in your free time, like when you are sitting or laying down on your back or bottom watching T.V.. get up by trying the Kick-Ups.
3. You cant do anything without Imagining it first.
4. Practice, Practice and more Practice makes Perfect!
Good Luck!
