Everyones gotta fall.
It took me about a month to get it good.
Practice makes perfect.
Make sure you really use the swing of your body, so start by sitting on the floor with your knees bent and rock backwards to use your weight as an advantage then do the rest as it is.

The guy's half way through already.
I'm guessing he started on the floor, swung back and kicked up.
His kick has lifted up his ass, and most of his body.
Now the legs just need to pull down and the hands push up a bit.
The kick looks good.

"Next thing to do is to make sure your feet are all the way stretched over your head. DONT ball them up by your stomach and try to kick from your knees out while your learning and expect to do be able to preform the move because you never will. That comes later. "

from a bboy site

ok clear this up for me

which is REALLY easier, the chamber in to chest and kick up

or the one this guy is talkin about

Moves Learned

1. Kip up
2. rolling kip up
3. tornado kick

Firstly, that guy didn't start from a bridge position.
He's halfway through his kick up.
He starts on the floor swings his feet up and the picture is taken just after he kicks up with his hands just pushing off.

Secondly, I reckon the latter is better. You shouldn't trap your legs into your chest swing them back over your head and kick up from there.

i got them today, or i was landing some good ones,
most of em i was matrix style and couldnt get up completely but some i overshot onto my knees, did one so i had to run forward, and landed crouched to stand

but the gay thing is

i had em goin so well

then i took a break
then practiced for like 2 hr straight and landed like 2/50! i lost it

the bitchy thing is i forget the technique when i do em uber good

damnit

i lost it, i had em goin so well for like an hr and then i lost it

Moves Learned

1. Kip up
2. rolling kip up
3. tornado kick

i just saw that i dont chamber much at all and kick a hell of a lot out because it helps me land the move since i have a hard time getting forward otherwise

i need to find a way to kick so i get the forward momentum i need + maybe some more height

im kickin out so i can land it and it also is "ugly as sin"

yea i kick up at around to or less than 45 degrees

because if i kick at a high angle i cant get the rotation or forwards momentum i need to land it

Moves Learned

1. Kip up
2. rolling kip up
3. tornado kick

i got my hopes up that i was landing a kip up because it felt like it and everything

but i dont have a REAL kip up kicking straight up from your shoulders:which is much harder to do then

lying on your back and kicking to your feet, ive been doin this and kicking so much out

i havent been going from my shoulders and kicking straight up
i feel like im cheating and i probably am

Moves Learned

1. Kip up
2. rolling kip up
3. tornado kick
