the ANSWER to getting your upper torso off the ground is pushing up with your hands, THATS IT lol, just practice THAT now that you are all PERFECT at getting into the bridge position lol.
edit: i meant off, pushing OFF is more accurate, push off when your legs are ABOUT to hit the floor. |

i think it has a lot to do with stomach muscles to cuz way back when i first learned them my stomach muscles would feel over-stretched after trying them for a long time

Welp.. I'm fresh out of ideas tried everything you guys suggested and some of my own and still no luck. Whenever I attemp it I get off my back but not high enough for me to get onto my legs, sorry I can't give better details. |

if you're trying everything and having no luck you're either one of those types that are really bad at taking directions: hear what people tell you, attempt and think yo'ure doing what they said when you're really only just doing the same shit you were doing before, or you're not putting enough SPRING/JUMP into it, its a SPRING, quick, not slow, you cant expect to think about what you're doing mid-spring, and then successfully do it, it must be done quick, you must KNOW what you're gonna do before you do it. roll farther up your shoulders...roll so far back, only above your shoulder-blades are touching the floor....kick your legs UP diagonally, and STRETCH THEM as far out as possible, they should go out so far that they help pull your upper body off the floor as much as possible, push with your arms the entire motion, when you spring up, soon as your upper back LEAVES the floor, then push ALL OUT with your hands, when your legs have gone as far as they will (they should STILL be all the way up) bend your knees in toward your body and bring your legs under you, and pull your head up and forward. think of it as bringing your chest forward too. but in any case, once you extend your legs as far out as possible, you MUST bend your legs back under your to catch the ground below your body. through all, never give up, quitting is for pussies, and we dont condone being pussy. |

practise on something like carpet or grass first. once u get ur kip up on the grass/carpet move to tiling or cardboard or w/e
