these are easy for me to do. just use your hands a little more to give yourself more "umph" and try to straighten your body up once u are off the ground. i dont think u need a tutorial for this but i can make one if u REALLY need one

Okay, what I personally see is that you're sort of rushing the move. Scrunch up, and THEN release. You're kicking off way too early. And regarding MattRT's suggestion, I think it's more of an arc. But basically just keep doing it over and over until you get it. That's how I got it. And I can do it without hands now, so that's always a goal you can set.

pull your knees to your chest then push off your hands and kick diagonally at the same time and you will get one.
EDIT: Heres a video. Bboy.org Video: kipup |

Tuck deeper, roll higher on your shoulders, kick harder, kick more straight up before you snap your legs forward and under. These are the four things you need to be doing.

deus is right, your kicking up too early...
roll back with your legs near your face and wait until you don't have anymore momentum that is pulling you back, wich means that you have to pause for a couple of second with your butt high , resting on ur spine, and then, when you start rolling back in a sitting position, you kick and thats it hope it helped |

ok here's wats up: soon and deus are rit, ur kickin too early. When you roll back, wait till your body comes to a stop on your arms, then kick, otherwise you have too much backwards momentum and it gets u nowhere.
Another thing: try to tuck those legs farther under your body. This is a major thing people overlook in doing kip ups: the farther out your legs end up being, the more your upper body has to move to get on top of them and therefore the harder it is. So basically, kick later and tuck those legs under more (kick higher to have more time to get em under). |

I don't know why theres an entire thread about Kip-ups. they're just a regular thing, not a type of move. but whatever. Well, i see that you're trying to land right on the balls of your feet but with all the force acting against you as you force yourself up you inevitably fall on your back. Try incorporating your head to press against the ground and push up with your legs a little higher. other than that you'll get this in no time bro. Keep practicing!
