k i recently got back into bboyin again..
and i've been working on my b-kick.
how in the hell do i get my legs straight??
they're not totally bent..but slightly bent i think...
do i just gota keep practicing or what?

thats proly one of the most technical aspects of the move

start the kick from early and make sure u are gettin alot of horizontal momentum....anyway when u start the kick as soon as u get around from your setup the kicking leg goes up early so u have time to straighten it

in addition try to kick away from your body as much as possible....its like stretching yourself out in the air.....so try to kick as far as possible from your body

one other thing to do is to go through the bkick very slowly in terms of the take off.....

yeah i think maybe its my setup..
but i find it impossible to get enough height and have time to straighten out my legs while in the air..cuz im kicking hard to get enough air..

i've read that the key to a successful bkick/twist is to get the first leg up high..
but i just cant seem to get it high/straight enough..
any kind of excercises maybe to strengthen my legs? or should i just keep at it?

well to get that first leg high u need flexibility and thats mainly it and this doesnt only mean leg flexibility but back flexibiltiy is needed a great deal (search the net for stretching exercises or get a trainer to teach u some)

another thing that helps for ppl who arent so flexible is to bring down your head lower because it helps to get your hips higher which in turn allows u to get that foot up high (which is actually a major part of the move).....so probably u are forgetting to dip your upperbody....remember that U shape that ppl talk about (well thats if u ever been taught the right way)....well moving like a U means that your head dips or should i say upperbody dips and not necessarily the head...but as your kicking leg is getting higher u need to bring back up your chest so u become horizontal

good luck....one other thing if u wanna get good at moves and understand written tutorials better watch movies or video clips u have.....frame by frame using windows media player (or other players too).
