V Kicks? one handed... - 09-08-2003, 09:21 PM

OK im not 100% sure but I think a V kick is when you do a air freeze and both your feet are pointing (more or less) straight up into the air in a V shape and your body is facing up too and its like about horizontal to the ground (more or less). Am I right? If so can anyone give me some tips on doing this because I can only go up and straight back down again. I cant hold it for even 1/100th of a second. Two handed I can hold them for like a second but I think im doing them wrong because im just doing it all muscle I think I have the form all wrong... I think a guide would help a lot but anyone got any advice?

I V-kick isn't an airfreeze... to do it jump back into a flaring type position.

look at chcuky's profile picture...thats the position you spring back to when you're doing a v-kick. you start in a crouch, jump back to that so that your knees almost hit your shoulders, and spring back to the crouch again

Oh that explains it. I always thought Chucky's avatar was trying to seduce me.

here is a tip on how to do one and hold it for longer. when you do it, jump upward, while throwing your chest back a bit, and your arms upward. you should be not touching the ground at all for about a quarter second. Then put your hands down while your still going up. thats kinda hard to understand, but it should make your body more horizontal and look better. it helped me alot. if i had a web cam i would show you what i ment.
