Pretty sweet, except that uprocking has different origins than breaking, you know, although they're both from New York. Uprocking is a totally different dance really, I don't quite see why it's always sort of lumped with breaking. Oh well, I enjoy doing them both anyway, so it's all good.

That was a good essay. haven't read so much in a while. informative, didn't know the caribbean had influence on hip-hop. makes me feel good
.That part about Rock Steady Crew introducing windmills, flares and 1990's confuses me though. I'm not sure if they introduced flares. All in all, good essay |

nice essay bali. one thing tho - isnt the name bboy derived from 'break' as in old slang meaning to 'go off' or 'lose it', and 'break boy' would mean to go off to the music, as opposed to somebody who dances to the break? just wonderin...

i did an essay bout hiphop once and my stupid english teacher gave me a D (he doesnt like this kinda stuff, he likes shakespeer and these other shits), that bastard it took me weeks to finish it,
