A friend of mine told me that if I wanted to be a pure b-boy, like get serious about it, then gymnastics may prove as a big help for it, as it would help with my flexibility as well as strength for my whole body.

What do you guys think?

ya if u wannado gymnastics go for it! i dont know how much itl help and they reealy push u to do stuff but thats not alwaz a bad thing!

Yeah. But Capoeria is all about the flips and aerials. But martial arts style. Like they use the flips and stuff for fighting. I've seen a lot of clips, and it does prove as an alternative for gymnastics.

But I've also seen gymnists (I think that's what they're called). And they're mad flexible. Like their version of the flare... they make it look so easy.

Or I could sit at home and stretch all day...

hmm i wouldnt sit n strech all day its not gonna make u better just more flexable/i am pretty flexable cuz i do ballet thats right ballet! lol yeah and i dont think flexability helps me much but idk there are benifits from diff stuff u do
for me its ballet cuz it helps w/ jumps flexability spinnin toprock ect
formmy friend who does karate thats good for her cuz she does kip ups and stuff in her class
and gynastics would helpi think but it depends on how good u are already cuz some of my friends are gymnasts and it doesnt helpthem break that much
but i wish i coul o more karate and stuf lik that but theres not much round here
but im started rock climbin again but i dont think that will help me at all

Gymnastics takes a lot of work, and has a high probability of injury. If you're just doing it to get good at bboying, it's probably not a good idea. You could just spend that time working out and stretching specifically for bboying. And it would probably be more fun.

gym=more of handstands and flexibility.helps in lots.up to ya.i tink pure breakin is still da best!!
