In 2000 True presented Blackout, the first ever lights out event @ Asylum. This event has been asked for a sequel for yrs now and finally True w/ some help from Columns of Knowledge are bringing this event to "light" The club will be "lights out" for this special event. None of the regular fixtures will be used, replaced instead by True Lasers most intense laser show ever, black lighting, and tons of glowsticks we'll be providing on this night! With so few venue options left in NE we are always striving to keep the script changing and we are very excited to share this pre-Halloween vibe of mischevious fun with all of you once again. Überzone is the brainchild of southern California native Q (named after the "gizmo"-loving James Bond character). His early singles, "Botz" and "Freaks", released on taste-maker indie dance label, City of Angels, were critically acclaimed club tracks that established Q as the leading American producer of "new school" breaks. These singles were charted consistently by DJs like Florida's DJ Icey and the UK's Adam Freeland, and his remixes of Sarah McLaghlan, Crystal Method and BT established him as one of the biggest names in the American rave scene. Spin Magazine named Überzone one of the six producers to create "the biggest beats ever." His 1st album includes features guest vocalists Afrika Bambaataa and Soulsonic Force as well as a track featuring production from early UK breakbeat legend, Rennie Pilgrem. The new record features the skills of LA turntablist Davey Dave on "Bounce" and "Beat Bionic"- which includes a collaboration with Bart Thomas rhyming on the vocoder, old school style. 2:00-3:00AM
