well he uses his hands, guess that's ok
i've tried it a few times, got maybe half a foot to a foot. but just think of it as a rollback headstand. except when you rollback, don't catch yourself and pull your legs over. instead, like what machine does is support yourself somewhat with maybe sleeves over your hands, and stay on the back of your head (that's what i do but i fall on my ass after) or try to get on your head

it's the same as a regular headslide, you slide . it's actually kinda simple, you keep your neck as stiff as possible so you don't fall over and you balance it. you also need enough force behind your push to actually keep yourself from falling.

its def not backward, i've tried and failed miserably. machine's gettin his legs to kick him back AND up so that his legs get some airtime, but he's got his right arm underneath to brace

That clip was dope, I can't do it like that, but I can do it just straight backwards. You just need to rollback onto your head, but stop yourself so you don't go all the way onto your head. You'll be sliding on the back of your head, with your body at an angle. I don't know if that makes sense, but yeah.
