Need Help with L-kicks/nikes - 02-09-2008, 02:21 AM

how do u get ur hips higher? for some reason i cant get my hips horozontal is it a flexability issue or do i just suck? i'll post a pic or vid later but u get me right?

EDIT: i got the pic up i know there is sooo much wrong with it what i'm asking is how can i fix it?

You need to kick up higher. Don't be afraid of falling over if you kick to hard, it won't hurt (just make sure you have a bit more open space to practice in)
also try and keep your leg completely straight (I know this is easier said then done)
You'll be able to tell when you are bringing your body far enough up, because you will be able to hold the nike kick for a few seconds, instead of falling back down right away.

if you arent getting enough height then go into a quick 2-handed handstand first to get your hips high enough.
