im having a hard time getting more spins too, but all i can tell you is experiment with little but crucial details. this if for CCW, if you dont go CCW, just do the opposite of the directions. for example. the position of your legs of how you start it and how it is during the rotation. if you open your legs during the start off, and you have your legs bent first with your left leg leaning to your butt and your right leg slightly straight, but more like leaning forward a lil. you may do some sort of corkscrew motion like, as you spin, whip up your legs, but not too hard where you lose control, and put your feet together, left behind the right, and keep those legs straight. thats one way of trying to do more 90s.
tuck your head in to your arm, don't look down, look forward. it may be scary at first, but you'll have the feeling you can spin more.
with the spinning hand, push the ground with it, that way, you can really spin on the bone.
create a tight body during the spin, you don't want to create too much surface area, you may already know that spinning with your legs out and the non spinning arm makes your spin slower. i suggest keeping your non spinning arm next to your head, like you're about to go into 2000s, but you're not touching your hand.
here is a simple method, do your 90s like how you regularly do it, and try leaning your left leg to the back, and leaning towards your other leg like you're trying to form a missile.your right leg can be straight and leaning towards your other leg, or it can be slightly bent.
the way you start off, try creating a small square around you, a 2ft x 2ft square. put your start off hand almost exactly where your start off leg is. start off easy, until you learn to control it.
hope it helps,
peace
