one hand stand (left or right) - 06-27-2006, 12:53 AM

Yea i have a question about one hand stands... im not sure which hand i should go on... im right handed but i use my left hand first for kartwheels... im not sure i just think it was weird..... so yeaaaaa can anyone tell me which hand i should use.

that is perfectly normal, use your right hand.

You usually use your power arm for moves that require strength. So if you usually stab on your left hand, then you'd probably want to do a left-handed one-hand handstand. This is so you can combo your moves. Like, go into an air baby, hop it up into a one-hand handstand, then back down to an air chair, or something like that.

I have the same case. I'm right handed in writing, but my left hand holds all the power moves (stabs, one-hand handstands, L-kicks, etc.).

It's a good idea to learn to use either hand, though, especially for one-hand handstands. That way, if you're losing your balance somehow, you can make it look like you did it on purpose by switching hands.

Yeh, well, sum of my moves are left and sum r right
like my handstand moves ar left but the poses n stuff like handglide turtles and windmill r on my right hand

i was regret that i started my left hand late =\
