Cant keep balance in 90s - 08-28-2005, 05:33 AM

Uhh ok i can start spinning, and i fall over, im sure if i could keep my balance i can keep going but ya

i get on my bone, i wind my legs and spin about 3/4 a full turn, and my legs are already coming down, how do i get them to not fall?

maybe keep your legs straight..? or maybe when you push up to go up, you can push sideways more and use your hand switch to get straight

f*ck your sooo right...the same happens 2 me...i get into it fine...but before it completes a rotation or rotations...my legs or body FALLS...it ssoooo GAY...

yes, i and i seriously dunno whats up

yesterday i think i was able to get around more, turns out i wasnt really whipping my legs and closing them, so i can get around a lil more but my legs still fall

ok u guys i gots the same problem but i really want 90's in my arsenail so i watch alot of vid in slow motion back and forth and it seems to me to do a go need when u first start have ur legs spread but bent a lil bit the when u start to switch hand put them straight not sayin it'll work but try it hit me back

well my legs are bent and ugly the whole time

i dunno

Im suppose to have both hands down then whip right? it seems that as soon as i get 3/4 rotation my legs fall

i wouldnt like to have 90's in my arse nail but a tip is to tap off the floor, obviously, thats what 90's are, continuous 90's are different but if you want a continuous spinning move withought tapping you should get inton 2000's.

Swing your legs whilst your going up. not when your up.

If your learning from banshees 90 video, then i recommend you stop watching it and delete it.

Watch a video of some pros pulling 90s, they all get most of there swing and power whilst there going up, when your actually up its just a matter of maintaining the speed and trying to continue the spin.

DONT look at your hand. Tuck your head in and look at the walls. When going up make sure your turning circular, and when your up just close your legs.

someone said in one of my old videos not to put my hands down simultaneously, and i was putting one down, next, lifting the other (id wait a sec to torque up before lifting the first hand)

dont forget to push off with your other hand to help rotation as well. you didnt mention it so i thought i would. good luck, im starting up 90's as well and they are deffinitly a fun move to learn, i have 1 rotation down, just trying to build up enough momentum and UMPH to keep them going

simple, it's already been mentioned that you get your stuff while GOING up. If you try to do the 90 while you are up you're just gonna screw up. What I do is I go to one hand (my left) and lower my legs while putting my right then I push up (kinda) and kick my legs up (into a spinning motion not to jump.) Most importantly though, I use my hips with the most force I can, and with that my legs spin naturally so I just use the momentum there to put even more force and spin with a lot of force. If you really want to get your balance down, do this, learn a handstand REALLY well. I first started to really get into the 90's when I could walk across b-ball courts without falling.
After getting the handstand down, and being quite comfortable with 1 hand, then learn to spin using both hands, since you should be able to walk now, just stand in one place, and turn one hand instead of walking forward. You'll spin, do this a lot and get the motions and stuff down so you can use your hands better for the 90. It REALLY helped me out.

ya ill try the tapping thing, i can handstand fine, its just a matter of how long i REALLY want to go, like i cant do it forever, but i can go pretty long if i need to
