Practice getting your balance of two hands so you have GREAT balance. (not required but really useful) and then just swipe your legs. That gives you more then plenty bost to hop with less arm strength.
Swipe your legs like swing them in opposite directions from front to back. (I'm too lazy to be more in depth)
