handstand help - 06-09-2005, 06:00 PM

I can do a handstand without moving for like 6 seconds on average, PB was 14 sec. Anyways, I was wonder if doing inverted push ups against the wall helps in maintaining a handstand.

not really, maybe by yourself, but a wall wont do much. It just gives you power, but screws up your balance

i got a ? bout handstands n one handed handstands. Does it matter which way your hands are pointed, when i do a handstand i point them out to the side n i can hold it for bout 10 sec n hop bout 4 times. I point my hand the same way wit one handed handstands. But when i watch clips of ppl doin solar eclipses n handstand hops their hands r usually pointed forward. Does hand position matter when ur doin different handstand moves.

no, but generally forward is more comfortable for me, and if you go into something like a pike from it, you don't have to spin your hand at all.

for me, i don't usually have it pointed forward for all my airfreezes. I sorta position around looking for the "right spot" or whatever's the most comfortable for me to position my fingers at
