Everytime I have been taught, the person always recommends a spotter. Then u work ur way to getting into the same position without the spotter, but having him close ready to save ur ass .

Lol u all must really suck at handstands. handstands came naturally 4 me. i used to do them bent-legged but when i started gymnastics they made me do 'em straight-legged. i can hold handstands for about 45 secs now. handstands dont really require arm strength if ur elbows r locked.

the secret to good handstands is to learn how to dig ur fingers in the ground when ur tilting.




moves i got


all variations of footwork, toprock, uprock, turtles, helicopter/coffee grinder(1 and 2 handed), skyscraper, (air)chair, planche, kip up, no handed kip up, swipes, front handspring, front tuck, 2 handed air baby, super duper L kick, 1 legged swipes, handglides, crickets, windmills (stabbed), both ways leg hops, scissor kicks, back handsprings/back tucks, flash kicks, double legs, fulls, double fulls, front fulls, kick fulls, pretty much any crazy tumbling pass, and wallflips.

I found out if you look at your shadows of your legs while they're in the air, so you can move your legs without no vlue what position they are in. I can hardly hold myself up..

heh... you shouldve seen the ones i was doing yesterday. I kept over correcting and ended up doing 180's out of my handstands, mainly to keep from smashing my face into the lawn.




They say the mind bends and twists to cope with the horrors of life...well my mind didn't bend, but my back sure did when I fell over during that handstand.

yo,i dunno man......
about keepin your body straight and legs closed,i think that's kinda weird man......for a begginer i mean

i mean when i started learning it.....i bent the front tips of my fingeers to get stable annen bent my legs .....it helped get me up for about 4-5 secs....and then i kept practising till i could keep up till a min before my arms get shaky......
and that was 3 hours ago.
