wait...guys...you all talk about the handstand with the legs bend or straight up???I can hold about 5 secs with legs bend...with legs straight up I can hold only 2...I'm practising though...
err yeah touche
wots wit chix doing handstands...we do em better dan doods ne day! =0P
well wit wat everyone is saying...i say u have to get the proper handstand first....like legs n arms straight...then its heaps easier to do poses, freezes etc.
but thas from personal experience...and like millions of gymnasts will agree! =0P
yeah...for a proper handstand....like just think about
sucking your stomach in
squeezing ur butt
squeezing ur legs together
lock your shoulders...like push off the ground as much as possible
s=t=r=e=t=c=h towards the ceiling, like point ur toes...and keeeep TIGHT!!!
oh yeah and as someone said before...have ur palms flat wit ur fingers bent so they can "grip" da ground
can't stress how much of a difference it is to keep tight umm..yeah and if u do all this BEFORE you even get up there...like as you're going into it, suck in ur stomach and keep everythign tight it makes soo sooo sooo much more of a difference
yeah...and look at the ground btwn ur hands, but i think u guys wood have already picked dat up
if u want to come down...stick ur head towards ur back like try to look infront of them and ull always come down
on a good day i can keep them up for a long time... but on an average day they are still pretty good (except i am wobbley and move around a lot)... but i would have to say the key to doing a hand stand is about balance. so like the other guys say practice up against a wall at first and one ur comfy with dat move a little farther away... and practice every spare chance u get.
