Hey~ guys... I got a problem here. I like the bend your fingers when doing a handstand or act your hands as your feet, i like it and it's working. The problem is I can't get my body to make it straight. I keeping bending my body when I get up there, thus, I fall quicker. Anyone got any suggestions?

Aight, a few q's....
Do you mean go on just your wrists, and bend your fingers onto the ground? Cuz that actually requires less strength, but if done right, looks better. So learn 'em like that....not to mention, 1990's and such are done on the lowest possible surface area of your hand anyway....so that's a good start. Also....do you bend your knees, or your back? If you bend your knees and you're still falling, then you have to go "higher"....meaning more vertical.....if your back's bending, then try 'em against a wall, and keep practicin' proper form to straighten yourself out. 1 more thing....which direction do you fall? (Back the way you went up, or you you keep going and land on your back/feet?) Peace. |

Hey~
Well... If I bend my back and my legs are straight i fall back the way i went up. If i bend my legs, i either go sideways, always to the left, or i keep going but i don't land on my back. I kinda let one hand off. I tried to do it infront of a wall, and look at the wall when i'm up. It helps a little but i got a feeling i gotta fall on my back if i continue. |
