Nope, I rather tried never to use my free arm if not for balance, sometimes at first my knee would slip away from the elbow at the time of gettin up, but I've never had too many problems.
Can you post a clip as well, I find online troubleshooting very handy

Either upload it to the gallery and post the link here, or more simply attach it to your post... there's a box below the message field.

EDIT- I mean airbaby to one handed handstand

The clip, finally... took so long, I'm just mad busy

You mean you bend the leg on the elbow more in? I usually don't mind that, but yes keepin it bent does give it a different look.

Nothing at all, if anything I've noticed the pointin down leg is more stable for short times, if you're going for minutes it gets you more tired because it kind of slips more off your elbow. Heh it doesn't even slip, it TENDS to do so a bit more, so you have to keep the muscles a bit more tense.

But again, that's not what makes the difference, I probably wouldn't have noticed if you didn't ask me.

Not to mention, it would theorically be harder to do it with the pointing down leg since pushin off the elbow temporarily puts more weight on it.

So if there had to be a difference I'd even be doin it the harder way.

Just a form thingy that's nice to vary, what matters is how you use the other leg.

I can only give you some generic tips... however, practice constantly, never get on them on and off.

As soon as you feel tired and see you're starting to get frustrated, stop it and get back on it the day after... 20 minutes a day sounds the best to me.

Alternate regular handstands with practice against a wall, that does more than you'd probably think

Last but not least... keeping bad form (or not worriying about it) seems to help you hold it longer, but that won't lead you anywhere... it's much better to think about straight legs and not arching, it will be harder at first and you'll hold it less, but in the end you'll have MUCH better handstands. Also don't move with your hands.

To resume, handstands need constant practice, try them everyday, even for short times, quality over quantity, and try them both raw and against a wall.

If you know some good gymnasts, especially teachers, you might hang around with them- they're machines on the discipline side.

Thanks for the comments everyone

Your english is ok you should always look at your hand, gives you more control over what you're doing.

Hmm okay I have a problem! One thing i dont get is how you can push up ur whole body with just ur legs...see I can do two handed hops, but I'm always using my arms quite a bit to give that extra push. I tried it just now without using my hands and I dont even get off the ground. Im trying to kick as much as I can too.
Just weird cause this guide says you dont need to bend your arms before the hop, and most videos ive seen the guys do the eclipse with their arm perfectly straight all the time.
So am I just not kicking hard enough? or is it position or somethin?
thanks

It's a matter of form, you might be kicking in the wrong direction or not hard enough. You can either bend your legs over your back or bend them more towards your chest, but whatever you do make sure what happens next is a straight vertical kick. First be sure your technique is ok, then start worrying about kicking harder... put it this way, there's no need to think about your strenght if you can't first get the most out of it. So technique first, and then build on it.

If you're coming from two handed hops, chances are that you're kicking the first way I described, you may want to give the second one a try, I like it better and it seems to give more height if that's what you're looking for.
