Ok...where to start lol
@ BBoyIya - Thanks for props. my arms are usually straighter, but i was doing it on grass, i'll post a clip later when i'm practicing in the dance hall. about the hips, a large part of how you swing your upper body will determine your leg movements. if you swing your upper body aggresively (eg, you start at north, then you end at south) your legs will get aot of momentum (these look very "asian")
if upper body swing less, like the UK style ( the style i did earlier), the upper body swings more north to east or south east.
@A7 - supporting moves that will help with your learning airflares? i would say 90 pretty good to know, def flares. if you can do those with ease, you should be fine IMO. people who airflare and bend their
legs before they turn will kick out just before they turn. this helps with height, usually they start doing this in their 5 or 6 turn when they start lossing momentum. i do sometimes as well, it's called kick style.

After a bunch of unsucessful airflare, i think that airflare is simple, it combo of swing>spin>hop away!!, i think it is core of air flare, because air flare is alike to 90s but[AF=90s legs(active for af) + Swipe hands(passive for af)] .Anyone who have learned mills, also know that :a straight legs in no-hand-mills will let u flip to other side but in rotation motion.-----------> that is it all! (see bruse lee's af? swing a lot then hop away....)

Yeah, i get what you saying A7, and that is the motion you are doing when airflaring. you must do it enough to get the nack of it and practice your form. it all gradually comes together as you learn more moves.
@Iya, yeah, the good 'ol leg touching the ground curse. the axis of your body will have to be straight up. the lower your axis, the higher the chances of you scrapping your legs. try kicking before the turn, this will help you keep your body and legs up after the rotation. you can stop kicking once you are more confident and get more height and speed.

I myself can fip to other side with clockwise airflare, but i cant catch it, like u,it force me to put my right hand quickly.I have seen other bboy that have the same mistake . Sothat, i think the problem just is the catching-hand, because when i go ccw, i CAN catch my airflare pretty good(> 45 degree),ofcause if i do it right at all. I practice all think first with my right side, so ,my right arm is affect by handstand a lot, but my left hand is different, i dont practice with it ,so whenever i go clockwise af ,i cant catch with my left hand. Do u think u have the same problem?(ofcause if u can fall to other side)
One more thing, my clockwise windmill make my airflare suck!

Say smt if this thing right again:" airflare, flare ,windmill, all of them must draw a PERFECT CIRCLE to gain full power and RIGHT motion "
