How can I get the most out of my practicing without wasting supplies? Should I draw then erase or draw and just find more space to write on? Is it wise to use dry erase markers/boards to practice on since they're easy to clean up?

i just use a pencil and markers and loose leaf... Papers pretty cheap man. Plus the world has been a bit of a douche to me recently so I'm killing all its trees.

as an environmentalist at heart im not gonna take the piss and give you an honest answer

paper and pencil, quite cheap no? paper is the most expensive of those 2 cos you need a lot of it but youd be surprised how easy it is to find cheap paper. I worked at this language school and we were throwing away loads of it (printed on one side). if you go ask around businesses youll probably find a source for free.

Money isn't the object here. I just don't want to waste paper. I wasn't raised like that.

It's not a waste of paper if you use it, then recycle it. It's probably more taxing on the enviroment to throw out whiteboard markers when they run out.

then practice on your etch-a-sketch

it's a waste of paint if you are painting anything with no style or skill.
