Smile piece help.... - 09-01-2007, 11:39 AM

I was just wondering how long it usually takes you to draw up a real piece... hours, days, minutes... What colors go with which style better... do you keep your edges rounded or straight or do you mix them up. I'm feeling kind of uncreative lately, and i was just wondering what helps you get inspired to do a new piece. If you could help me out that'd be cool, GrassyAss !

I usually take atleast an hour most of the time I take longer though...color combo's I usually like bright colors, I think thats a personal thing...about the edges..as long as it go's with the style you use and u use it balanced over the whole pieceyou can mix it up...looking at other peoples work usually gets me more inspired or just doin one random letter at a time if it works out stick another letter behind it and so on...if it doesn't work out start with another letter and go from there(but that's mainly cause I don't really write one name)I end up a lot of times with just one good letter though but from time to time a whole piece comes out...I dunno guess I have a weird way of workin but hope it helps you in some way

peace

thx... i usually do something similar to that too... its hard though cause i want to write something i start to write it, then when i get to the next letter the style doesn't really seem to fit as well as i would like it to, then i get discouraged and discard it... i suck with color schemes and shit lol... I think my problem is i'm too much into conformity, like my letter has to look like the letter i'm trying to draw, but i dont know why... its wierd, i need to break that habit and then i think i'll be a better writer
