There is a guy in knoxville that got arrested last week, because he was "Destroying and Vandalizing Society" with his graffiti. His bail is like $2,500 or something like that... cops are buckling down I think and it sucks!!! If you all live in the knoxville area, my friends are hosting an event called "Dolla Dolla Bill Ya'll" in Old City Knoxville to help out this cause. Since you all are graffiti people, I just wanted to post this, so you know that someone knoxville famous got busted for art and wondering if you all wanted to come to the event and help make bail for him (through coming to the event)
aw, its cool, its just a cool thing to do, because graffiti is apart of the whole hip-hop thing, and my friends are such hip-hip heads that they wanted to organize it, because they want their graffiti uncontained.
i hate it when cops or people think its vandalizing.....
Id much rather have a colorful wall than a bland, boring, and depressing wall....
Makes u more cheerful to look at colorfull things...
whats the normal punishment for illegal grafiti? and...can u define illegal grafitti to me...haha im new and im starting up this summer so i wanna know what im in for ahead of time thanks
most of the time I think it falls under vandalism or destruction of property (something like that). Grafitti in a public area and/or where the artist doesn't own what they are working on then it is illegal.
Learned: 1 step, 2step, 3 step, 5step, 6-step, 12-step, handglide, turtle freeze, baby freeze, shoulder freeze, head stands, chair
Working on: Toprock (as always), Windmills, Flares, Headspin, 1990s
Basically to destroy the original intention of the wall was supposed to look like.... In conclusion..... Graff is whack son.......... Nah Jp. I write also. But still it is vandalism and I guess if you get caught, accept your punishment. But yeah, if one of the peeps in my crew got caught, I wud bail them out in a second. So I know what you mean. Ahh flame my ass if you dont get what Im sayin, but Im jus stating my opinion
i think if graffiti was LEGAL.. almost everyone would pick up a can.. and we dont want that.. cus there would be horrible looking tags everywhere from all the toys in this world

epik is right...it wont ever become legal but i guess that's another factor that gives you a little bit more of adrenaline when you go bombing you know? i got arrested recently for "destruction of property" im hoping my charges will get dropped cuz the dude was chill about it tho. it is vandalism yes, but it's still a way to express yourself. what if every bboy was told to dance exactly the same way? or every musician told to do the same cover for the same song? same idealogy.
