Any cardboard that is sturdy but not too hard to cut. A while ago I tried making stencils with that thick cardboard like of TV boxes and I managed but couldnt get much detail in, just a silhuette. Plus it absorbed a lot of the paint and got v messy.

its easy to do more than one colour when you have a computer. Just break it down like you would if you were screenprinting.

ok....here's what i mean. When doing colour separation for screenprinting or any other printing really, you use what are called register marks. If you break apart a cereal box you may see them. Different colored circles with crosses in the middle. You separate the colors on your computer once you have finished the piece, each with a register mark in the same place, then you print the thing and use it as a template for cutting your stencil. Even better, get some cardstock or other special printer paper(the more waterproof the better, you could even laminate regular paper or use contact paper for the same effect) and cut straight from the printer!

"notice how i changed the spelling of the word colour multiple times so that people on both sides of the pond can read it!!!!!! LO(LOLOLOLOLOKJPOJ DBUI SGVGFIUDGAWLLIW)
