i'm gonna go ahead and say VIRUS AA COD cuz his shit's infamous, a true vancouver legend for sure

and for freights...

unfortunately i'm not legendary enough to roll with AA...as for ETC...they could burn me any day of the week, no doubt.

Think about it, you have writers learning the ins and outs of entire transport systems, risking serious injury even death, arrest and criminal records that would limit your opportunities for the rest of your life, for what? To simply paint a picture, does this seem logical to you? If the answer is no then it is most likely that you don’t fathom the idealism behind graffiti.

for me?.. i'md have to make it a crew.. no 2 crews.. FYPT and HW crews in halifax.. writers like FATSO SKUNK SLUG UBER CABIN THESIS.. but i guess if i have to choose just one.. SKUNK.. i love his style and you cant go much of anywhere in halifax without being slapped in the face by his throw ups

I'm not sure how to feel on this one.

Yeah, it might be a good feeling to be down with so and so, but really, I don't want to just be down for the sake of rolling with a good crew. Ya know?

I could wish to be in the Jive Turkeys/Turntable Monks/FX Crew/Dialated Peoples, dream about it, but then what? I would completely miss the reason I started doing any of this. I'd rather not think about who I give respect to and would like to meet, but strive to be down with the one crew that always has your back: Yourself. You are the one person who will always be down to rock frieghts, rock a cypher, throw down a set, whatever.

Instead of wishing I could be down with someone, my vision is for other dope cats wishing they could get up with me. THAT would mean something to me.


I know that you all are aware of this and that dickriding was not the intention of this thread but I just had to put it down; just wanted to say my thoughts.

anywho, i started this thread because i realized how little i know about freights, and how complex the system can actually get. writers like snafu not only have sick style, but they know how it works. they know which trains will stay in the yard, which won't, which train goes where, how to hit the most prolific freights without heating shit out...etc etc etc. so i would want to be down with him because of the vast education i would get in regards to freights. same with virus. he knows how to develop others around him (just look at TARS' earlier work and you'll see what i mean), and every kission would be a lesson.

what you said makes sense though.

And I understand that that would be dope to have someone elaborate and explain that to you. But one of the few things that I have relished about teaching myself three of the four elements is that I learned it myself.


I know when those frieghts are coming; Burlington, Autoracks, all of that shit. I know what a bite is, sandwhich flares to an airtrack. It's the idea that I MYSELF can achieve this knowledge and not neccesarily gain it from other people whom I respect. I'm gaining it from myself, who I should ALWAYS respect. I then grow off of people who also know these things and maybe they have some insightful things on these topics....who knows?

damn...good call...with that being said though, especially with freights and yards, there's so much stuff which has to be learned, and if you don't you possibly heat out the yard, or get yourself hurt, or something. it's such a fine line to walk in the yard.
