Hey i found a site that tell you what police are allowed to do to you. This for australians though. Im not sure if it applies to all of australia since its for NSW. But i found it interesting, and also a phone number which u can call before answering questions and advice. You dont need a lawyer to call them, but if u do i cant see why not calling the hotline either...

Just dont get caught. done let anyone know you write if you dont trust them 1000%
if you go to court, you're goin to jail. no lawyer can defend you if you're caught with a can in your hand. if you're worried about charges and jail time and think you're never gonna get caught, quit.

if the heat is on, and you know theyre lokoing for you, either quit and lay low for a while or DESTROY any evidence. give your paint to someone who will use it, BURN or bury your sketches. change names if you plan to continue. i've had to do all this twice.

it comes down to common sence. if you think you might get caught painting, dont paint. no one ever lost respect for sticking to chill spots. but in a game of go big or go home, you have to be WILLING to loose everything for fame. no one likes a vandal and people will call cops and turn you in.

dont draw graff on your bookbag, notebooks or any personal items. especially if your painting that name. that'll get you busted in a hurry, theres a post somewhere from last year when one guy was freakin and asking advice from us because his homeroom teacher turned him in. i havent heared from him scince.

your crew members WILL turn you in to get off the hook, again, i've seen it. i've met people who retired because of 50thousand dollar fines.

i know i'll be caught sometime. i'm skipping town first chance i get because i'm wanted. i've had 2 names before jek (madwak and rangi) and i've had to change them to evade the law, first because the cops were getting too damn close and i made the newspaper(good for props, bad for everything else) the second time i painted a truck trailor and a month later they parked it at the cop shop.

i know i'll probably be caught, but this cat and mouse game is damn fun. the cops probably wont outsmart me, someone will probably turn me in and when the cops raid my place i'm shit outta luck. i'll eventually face jail time and heavy fines and i will turn other writers in to get off the hook if i have to. its a dog eat dog world everyone is out for themselves, the fame, the glory and the art. the cities are our canvas, but people dont like it. fuck, even cope2 was jailed. and people who were on the boards long enough would know MISIA. he served time for like 3 months before he was back.

in the end, dont f**k around, dont get caught, and if you do, i hoppe you have a lot of beef with a couple people because you'll want that get out of jail ticket. i know it's selling out and shit and i hate that fact that anyone would do it, but when the time comes you WILL do ANYTHING to get out of that kind of shit. in fact i hope you do.

just dont take these words lightly. this shit could mean between you going to jail or some toy getting fucked up the bumb by some big dude named bubba.

when you get caught the only thing that MIGHT get you off the hook is being a rat. and you cant honestly say you would never do it. i've seen drug dealers rat out thier best friends and even seen one rat out his brother to get off the hook. it wont make you a good person and people will hate you, but people already hate what you do and no one sees you as a good person anyways.

street smarts is about comeing out on top. if you're not willing to go bigger, bolder get caught get off the hook by fucking someone else and take the chance of getting fucked, get out now. stick to legal shit and sell canvases to the kids you go to school with.

but in the end, dont fuck around dont get caught and done ever think you're above the law. you will get fucked. it's that simple.

most of the time you cant do shit about geting caught when it happens, but what you can do you should always take advantage of.

But a lot of the times youre just goign to end up getting ratted on by your buddies, or even by bystanders. I have people call me in from cars driving by before with their cells. Cop car comes out of no where and i have to run for my life. Its a pretty open communication type world out there ya know? Doesnt mean youre bound to be caught. Keep your head up, stay smart.
