spraypaint help please - 10-06-2005, 02:07 AM

aight i just got into spraypaiinting with cans im good with thin letters and shit but i was wonder how do you do big letters without it watering down and looking all shit cuz the paint drips ? any techinique or tips yall can give me ? also when fillin in coulors do you jus hold it far back and spred it through out the letter please help

get thicker caps. your probably using thins right now.

Check the how spaced the lines are on it to see size difference, stores also usually label caps by size as well. Theyre about a quarter each.

^yeah. besides that they way your laying down may be a factor. dont hesitate when in the middle of letters or lines because those few secs applies ink on top of ink that will make it run. before you just throw it up picture what you want to put down. take 'practice swings' like the dudes playin golf. picture urself doin it then go. you need to have a steady hand too. practice hold the can at weird angles so your arms get used to it like a surgeon.

oh yea, how steady you lay down the paint is a significant factor. I honestly suggest buying a graffiti video to watch how some of the more experienced people do it.
