Peter ### Autobiography
Annie ###, a strong willed young lady from a rich Yorkshire family, gave birth to me on Febuary 5th 1954. I carry my mother's name as do my two brothers and two sisters as she has the good sense not to marry until a couple of years ago. Annie's family however took a dim view of the situation and threw her out on her neck and me on my backside. I spent the next ten years in West Mount, Dr Barnardo's Home in Ripon, until we were united again.

My most vivid memory of this time is of throwing up in the back of my grandfather's Rolls Royce as he ferried me from the home to a two up, two down terrace house next to a railroad track in Darwin, Lancashire.

I learnt a lot from Darwin, mainly to build pushbikes and sell them. Eventually i progressed to doing the same thing with motor bikes. My paintings on petrol tanks of wolves' heads dripping blood were so bad that Accrington Hells Angels Chapter persuaded me to go to art college - for my health - which i did; Preston and Cheltenham were chosen where i taught myself to paint and draw so badly even the abstract boys thought i should have been struck with bikes. Since then of course they have become even worse to the point where I can barely lift a brush without causing a mess - or a master piece.

I now live in colourful poverty in a crumbling Regency flat with cracks so big they let the neighbours in, but not big enough to let me out.

He's really good. Are all those paintings just laying around the house? How many did he sell, if any?

yea, there paintings around the house, although i have just remembered there is one i have mist thats of a cat.. and he has sold loads, wish he didnt, as i want to see them in real, might to a quest when im older to find people who have bought paintings from him and buy them back.. but back then he sold them for real cheap.. he got offered like 12k for one of his paintings recently, but he said he would rather keep them as there the only ones he has left.. but he did lots of comissions, and ive seen lots of photos of work he has done, i will try and scan it, if my scanner works..

man those paintings are so good. i know how ridiculously hard it is to use oil on canvas, ive tried alot of times but failed miserably, the most amazing thing about his paintings is with the old-style ones he obviously has no models on which to paint so he has to rely purely on skill and memory of the human anatomy, mouscles poses.. all that, i was drawing people and objects waay before i even knew about graff so i know how hard they are to get right. i could draw a person over and over 50 times and not get it right.. but sometimes it just works out and looks great. people are alot of fun to draw, i found they were anyway to draw on a human body is so difficult. you cannot really compare graff to people i suppose.. i mean im no one to judge the difference in difficulty as ive barely scratched the surface of how far graffiti can be taken. ive only really been sketching pieces for about a year or 2 and ive advanced way faster than i did with drawing people, ive been drawing people since like grade 3.. then again i didnt have forums and friends that were as interested in drawing people as i was, nor did i have any need to push myself to get better. anyway your dad has enormous talent, which i think is fairly obvious, far beyond that of most of the trash you see in art galleries these days, he has a unique style too which is great. well i hope you steal some of his talent and perfect it yourself. peace.
