Lettering
Color
Effects
Flow
Charactor (if applicable).

If you dont know what these mean you probably shouldnt be voting. If its improssible to vote on one, it may be excluded. If you would like to know what these mean PM someone on the board (a mod, an active user, etc).

Outside Votes
Votes are only allowed from bboy.org users who
1) Have posted a half-decent (not 5s toy job mess) graffiti somewhere online
2) Are active on the graffiti forum (comments in newb/blackbook/flix thread is appreciated, no matter how new you are)

Useless Votes
After a round has been decided, your vote is thereafter useless. Its like a wedding, "speak now or forever hold your peace". If you speak later, it relly just pisses us off and makes me or another helpful mod delete your post.

Battling
Before making a new thread to battle another user, you must vote on someone elses thread. Please leave the URL on your page before beginning to battle, so we know that its valid.

General Rules



I. In order to battle, you must have a minimum of thirty posts, this way you are a little more experienced to battle.
You also have to have a vote to battle. And in each battle you have, you have to have a different vote.


II. What do I do if I would like to battle someone?
If you would like to battle someone start a thread calling that person out. In the thread subject, put your name, vs. the person you would like to battle. In the thread, specify all the details of the battle: throw/piece/char/handstyle/etc., number of judges, and number of rounds.


III. How is a Battle Jugded?
Once both people have agreed to battle in the battle thread. You may sign up as a judge. All judges must be experienced writers and not close friends with either of the battlers. Please wait until all pictures are posted to judge. You must explain your judging.

how bout we battle to get better, to experience the art of our peers. i dont know about you guys but one the reasons i write is to fuck up the system that im stuck in. all these guidelines and rules feel like im doing a fucking art assingment. thats not how it should be. if pride is realy that imporntant to you then i suppose all these regulations will keep people from feeling cheated. but dose it realy matter if you win or loose a battle? it seems to me that battling is not entierly for wining or loosing but for the crit that people give you. the criticism is what is so bad ass about this site you get lots of imput and help. i dont think its necissary to outline all this shit like we are in grade school. but what do i know i have not posted thirty times yet. and i enjoy looking at old battles, if it gets too complicated and bussy then i think we should set up more threads or another galery or something maybe a moderaitor could set up a battle gallery that shows both opponents pices and the outcome? who knows.

IF YOU'RE GONNA HAVE A BATTLE, PM ME WITH YOUR PIC. WHEN I GET A SKETCH FOMR EACH PARTICIPANT, I'LL POST THE SKETCHES IN A NEW THREAD. this way voting will not start untill both peices have been completed and things will/should flow a little smoother.

i'll also delete all posts in battle thread that are not votes.
