Why, so he can get stuck in a rut piecing one word? I say long as it is in your BB, you piece whatever word you want; it helps build creativity in your piecing. I do it pretty regularly.
Tips:
Words with double letters are harder then others most times.
Words with parrallel lines next to each other are harder IE: milk (the L and the K)
Other then that, do what you please, but you do need to find a name to officially write by, you can just piece whatever word you want forever.
