if u already soaked it and whatnot, it may be the seal on the can...or it may just be a shit cap. soak it again, and if it doesn't work, toss it...it won't be worth the effort

Think about it, you have writers learning the ins and outs of entire transport systems, risking serious injury even death, arrest and criminal records that would limit your opportunities for the rest of your life, for what? To simply paint a picture, does this seem logical to you? If the answer is no then it is most likely that you don’t fathom the idealism behind graffiti.

soaking it alone wont do the trick.. use a needle to try and clean what you can. then soak it for a couple hours. then, put the cap on a can, turn it upside down and spray 'till theres nothing but air coming out.

chances are, if it's clogged that bad it cant be saved.. do what you can, but dont expect anything from it.

ALWAYS clear your caps, even stocks.. hold the can upside down and spray 'till no paint comes out. wait a moment and spray again. repeat a couple times untill you stop getting paint all together.

one thing i like to do is save a can with lots of aerosol but no paint left just bring it with you bombing wrapped in a tshirt to muffle the rattles. this way, you can have your lookout clear your caps when you need to change them.. normally, i only bring 2 caps.. a fat and a skinny cap. and it helps if theyre different looking to avoid confusion while painting.. for example, rusto fat and german skinny (black dot) or ny thin and rusto fat.. i dont like using my german jumbos to fill in my peices because the spray goes in a star patern instead of a circle and it's no good for handstyles.. rusto fats are cleaner for stuff like that... ny fats too

unless i'm piecin, i got my ny fats and ny thins...i love those babies...by the way, if u get too obsessive with cleaning caps, u may start to lose a little pressure in ur cans, and that will alter the way the paint flows, as well as the amount.

When you consider just how cheap and easy to buy caps are - you have to ask if it's worth cleaning them at all.

Sure, when you're at a wall, you don't want to be clogging your caps every few minutes, or you risk running out - but just bringing a bunch of spare caps should do the trick.

As for the "can upside down" trick - not all that clever to keep doing it. You run a fair risk of ending up with a can that has a bunch of paint in it, and no aerosol to get it out with. Waste of paint.

Either bring an empty can, or if you can, some other kind of aerosol that you can just bang the cap on to clear it. Only problem there is that most domestic cans are male, so unless you're on male paint you'd struggle to find something to do the job.

Anyway - just buy a sack of caps and save yourself the hassle.

A bboy without style, is like a broken pencil.

There's just no point.
