Purchasing Graffiti - 05-22-2004, 08:51 PM

I was wondering...if you had to buy a canvas from a relatively well known writer is that an investment or wont you get shit for it if you had to re sell it in the future?

im sure if u had a canvas from dondi from when he was real hot, and u had it today, im sure it would b worth alot more then what u purchased it for... since he passed away (no disrespect intended). at least thats what i think

price shouldnt matter its not about that and if your looking for an investment look to the stock market not to a canvas

when artists die it increase the price on anything which they have done, as its a rareity (cant get any more as he/she is dead) so yeah, if you were to buy a daim canvas (daim is dope so yeah) just keep it on your wall for decoration and then if you need money, sell it..

art is anything you want to calll it you could paint a straight line down a canvas and it could b eworth somthing

price shouldnt really be relevant it is your appreaciation for the canvas that you want to buy

i think somthin bye daim or erase would be a good buy altohugh the maroity of daims canvas are often very expensive if your from the uk how ever and buy from artcrimes id say now would be the time to get it as the exhchange rate i s that good its like £1- $1.8

personally although id love a daim canvas id prefer to have a peeta one i got offered the 'waterproof' canvas fro artcrimes when he did it unfourtunatly low on cash so couldnt buy it but i think his stuff will appreciate in value in time if thats what your looking for as well as any famed artist for that matter but you want something to be a uique individivual and completly orginal thats the type of stuff that will become valuable in time
