Yeah, and just scour the net for graffiti related articles or sites as well, there are also some great books out there, some of which you can purchase from Art Crimes with alot of information, thanks talib, should have given him some references to start with.

u can do a paper on anyone really but a lot of history is with dondi, zepher, saber and so on....

Nace, Zephyr, Dondi, Futura 2000, Dream, Totem, Ewok, Saber (and most of AWR, MSK or The Seventh Letter)....there are tons of dope writers out there, both old school and new. go nuts.



Think about it, you have writers learning the ins and outs of entire transport systems, risking serious injury even death, arrest and criminal records that would limit your opportunities for the rest of your life, for what? To simply paint a picture, does this seem logical to you? If the answer is no then it is most likely that you don’t fathom the idealism behind graffiti.

I would think that Cope2 would be the easiest. Seems to be a lot of info on him. If you want to be a wierdo about it you could do Basquiat......even though I don't consider him a writer.

Well Basquiat isnt really a writer. His famous stuff isnt graffiti its just graf influenced. Its just he used to be part of a crew in NY and he possibly did his fair share of bombing ect. But i think its also unfair to consider sumthin not to be graffiti if thats wot its meant to be. I dont think we should put restrictions on our work...just look at futura
